Description
Rita Dove discusses her book, “Through the Ivory Gate.” She describes the protagonist, Virginia King, and her exploration of her creativity. Dove goes on to discuss the plot and reads an excerpt about a doll. She also talks about the University of Virginia and reads “Nightmare” from her Pulitzer Prize winning book of poetry.
