Title supplied by cataloger. Charlton Heston attends City Planning Department hearing at City Hall to protest a $25 million high-rise apartment and golf course development in the Santa Monica Mountains. The actor, 2859 Coldwater Canyon Dr., told City Zoning Administrator Huber Smutz that he has spent most of his adult life in apartments, but he recently moved into his own home to get peace and privacy. 'This project will destroy that,' he said. 'It will also mean that my son won't be able to run through green hills and enjoy the beauty of the hillsides.' Photograph dated August 15, 1963.
