Robert Finch, Nixon political advisor and former Lieutenant Governor of California, speaks with an unidentified student during the Robert A. Taft Institute of Government seminar. The Taft Institute, at which Finch was an invited speaker, was a national initiative designed for primary and secondary school teachers developing curricula on the US political system. Pepperdine University hosted the Taft Institute during the summers in the 1970s and 1980s. complete;
