Mrs Watson was the wife of Thomas Watson who founded the Kikuyu mission in 1891, which later came under the management of the Church of Scotland Mission [CSM] Dr T W W Crawford and Mrs E May Crawford [nee Grimes] arrived in Kenya in 1904 and established a station in the Fort Hall district and from there moved to the Church Missionary Society [CMS] medical mission at Embu district.
