Photograph caption dated October 25, 1938 reads, "Through this window in his fire-charred Beverly Hills home, Lyle Talbot, movie actor, today dragged Franklin D. Parker, an actor friend, to safety in a real life drama of heroism. Talbot and Parker both were painfully burned in the fire which swept through the home." The residence was located 218 S. Peck Road in Beverly Hills.
