Photograph caption dated March 10, 1960 reads, "San Fernando City Councilwoman Gladys Moosekian does honors in helping plant Queen Palm tree at city's newest off-street parking lot on Celis street near S. Brand boulevard. Additional Queen Palms will be planted all over city since being adopted as official tree for San Fernando. Waiting their turns on shovel are from left, Mayor Willard Cross, Dr. Norris Aardappel, John Murray, Ray Simeral and Virgil Upton, chairman of City Beautification Committee."
