Photograph of a survey map of the San Pascal Rancho, made by Henry Hancock, Pasadena, August 1858. The map reads "Lot No. 39 .T.i N. R.12 W." at its center, with survey lines demarcating an area around the writing and selected natural features drawn in. Impressions from other writing can be seen backwards faintly behind the primary text.
