Description
Photograph of two railroad workers in front of Los Angeles Railway car 185 at the end of the Pico Line, 1917. The electric railway car is at center and resembles a passenger car with long arms reaching towards overhead power lines. There are entrances at the front and the back of the vehicle, and a large grate at right serves to deflect road debris from the wheels. The two railroad men are standing near the front door of the car and are wearing dark uniforms and caps. The words "Los Angeles Railway" appear on the side of the car, in addition to the number 185.
