Description
George Colman, the younger writes to James Aickin, actor-manager of Drury Lane. Colman expresses disapproval that Aickin, newly ascended at Drury Lane, did not inform Colam's theater (the Haymarket) about the next day's performance of Morton's "The Children of the Wood." Colman says Aickin's theater is "heartily welcomed to have it perform'd;--but...certain forms are reciprocally necessary between Theatres, to prevent ill precedents." Letter bears a watermark and a stamp.
