In the usual order for thirteenth century French bibles and with the common set of 64 prologues, as described by Ker, MMBL 1:96-97 regarding London, Lambeth Palace, MS 1364; note, however, that Neh. 13, 15-31 is treated as the prologue to 2 Ezra (=3 Ezra; Stegmüller 94, 1). Ten leaves missing with loss of text after ff. 201, 245, 270, 294, 485, 507, 541. Positions of 2 biofolia reversed in the binding, so that ff. 172-171 and 190-189 should be read in this order. Span folios: ff. 1-672v. Decoration: On f. 1, 6-line historiated initial in blue and pink, of Jerome at his desk, with a biting animal head on the prolongation of the letter. On f. 5, historiated Genesis initial the length of the text depicting the days of the Creation on alternating silver and red mandorlas; below the text space, a miniature of the Crucifixion. Other Decoration: 6- and 5-line parted red and blue initials with flourishing in both colors, sometimes extending into a cascade border. 2-line initials alternating red with blue flourishing and blue with red, with cascade borders.
