Photograph caption date stamped March 7, 1950 reads, "One of the honor guests at the Valley Times 'Banquet of Champions' tomorrow night will be this rugged former world welterweight and middleweight boxing champion, Mickey (The Toy Bulldog) Walker, formerly of Rumson, N. J. Mickey, now retired, spends much of his time painting at his Los Angeles home."
