Description
"Class for teachers and preachers in Madrapakham, India, under direction of James A. Johnson, of Madras, India. J. P. Sanders, Los Angeles, E. R. Anderson and Loyd L. Smith of Dallas assisted in the teaching. Class conducted in July, 1967" James A. Johnson, Canadian missionary from Churches of Christ, arrived in Madras, India in 1965 at the age of sixty to begin a five-year work in India as a missionary. At the time of his arrival, there was already a strong missionary presence and strong church life in the region. In fact, though he baptized numerous people, Johnson was always quick to give the credit for these conversions to the hard work of indigenous evangelists and ministers.
