Photograph of an interior view of the Kong Chew Temple in Los Angeles's old Chinatown, November 1933. A large altar can be seen in the background at center and is ornately decorated with gold etchings. A large lamp can be seen next to the altar at left, while a table is visible in front of it. Several Chinese characters appear on the back of the altar. At left, a small wooden chair with a carved back is visible. Another lamp hangs from the ceiling in the foreground at right.
