Description
California Highway Patrol officers inspect the small car that collided with a Los Angeles County fire truck at the intersection of Amar Road and Sunset Avenue in La Puente. The truck ran a red light, struck the car driven by Sandra Ann Tagawa of Hacienda Heights, and dragged it 250 feet, ultimately killing Tagawa. As a result of her death, Tagawa's widower and son filed a lawsuit, claiming that the fire engine was speeding and did not activate the proper warning signals as it approached the intersection.
