Photograph caption dated August 31, 1964 reads, "Something new has been added to The Newshour on Channel 7 which today starts its new and earlier time period of 5 p.m. It's the team of David Monsees (19) and Ruth Anson (18) chosen from 2,000 applicants after a two-month search for a youthful reporting team to add another dimension to the coverage."
