Description
Annotation translation: "Ploughing rice fields. These rice fields lie opposite the mission house in Paraperi. In the rainy season the whole wide valley bottom is one big lake. Rice can only be planted after the time of the strongest rains, perhaps in August." Annotation: "Pflügen von Reisfeldern. Diese Reisfelder liegen gerade gegenüber vom Missionshaus i. Parapperi. In der Regenzeit ist die ganze, weite & grosse Talfläche ein grosser See. Reis kann erst nachher angebaut werden, wenn die stärksten Regen vorbei sind, etwa im August."
