Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing the ruins of the vaults in Continental Insurance Company, formerly proclaimed fireproof, 1906. A bare, wooden frame stands over the fallen bricks and bent metal pieces in the foreground. A doorway stands below a small window in a small portion of a brick wall which still stands at center. The roof has crumbled along with most of the surrounding walls.
