Description
View of the Abbey Hotel in Mill Valley, which operated from circa 1900 to 1929 when it was destroyed by fire. The hotel included a main building, outbuildings and tents located in the vicinity of Marguerite Avenue and Rowan Way, near West Blithedale Avenue. The hotel was accessed from Marsh Station on the "Lee Street Local" of the Tamalpais Railway. Postmarked July 1923 with message reading in part: "We are very nicely located for the present at foot of Tamalpais Mountain, a sort of resort hotel, a beautiful spot."
