Description
Photograph of Ocean Avenue looking south from Pine Avenue in Long Beach, 1925. The Hotel Schuyler stands to the left of the street, a new addition being constructed several times taller than the existing building. A canopy on the ground-level reads "The Unique Shop". An electric train stretches into right center the bottom edge of the image, while streetcars and automobiles navigate the rest of the street at left. One of the streetcars sports a sign that identifies it as bound for San Pedro. People walk along the sidewalk on either side of the street, and gather at the train. More high-rise buildings can be seen in the distance.
