In this audio recording Peter F. Drucker interviews Roxane Spitzer-Lehmann in his audio book, “The Nonprofit Drucker.” This tape is part of the series, “Managing and Developing Yourself.” Drucker begins by introducing Spitzer-Lehmann as the Vice President of care services at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, California. She talks about the importance of developing superiors as leaders, especially those who work independently. She talks about her own promotion to manager, and that her communication and organizational skills helped her get more responsibilities. Spitzer-Lehmann discusses the role a mentor can play in the development of an organization. She says that she is the only corporate senior manager who is a woman, and talks about how more women should be promoted to leadership roles. She ends the interview by discussing how women can succeed in a male-dominated corporate structure.
