Photograph of a rugby game, ca.1910. Two men, one wearing a striped shirt and the other a solid shirt with a number visible in the back, can be seen in battling positions they are standing facing each other while one is holding a rugby ball. Two additional men stand in running positions behind the first men one is wearing a striped shirt and the other a solid one. Two more men can be seen in the left and right background both are wearing striped shirts. Further in the back, a goal post and a wall (fence?) are visible. A hillside is observable in the backdrop. The photograph appears to feature "an intercollegiate rugby game from the period of approximately 1910. For several years, USC did not play football but instead played rugby" -- a USC Digital Library Patron, December 4, 2015. Compares to CHS-42735 and CHS-42734 image shows a divergent perspective of the same location of this photograph.
