Title supplied by cataloger. Under the leadership of John George Blumer (1845-1918) the Electric Road Promotion Committeee succeeded in raising funds to get the Los Angeles Interurban Railway, a subsidiary of the Pacific Electric, to open a single track line into Sierra Madre 1904. Rail service provided by Pacific Electric ran to and from Sierra Madre until 1950. This station, located on Kersting Court, was razed in 1951. Passengers wait in and around the Sierra Madre depot, which serves both the Sierra Madre Line of the Pacific Electric Railway Company and the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. On the southeast corner of Baldwin Avenue and Sierra Madre Boulevard is Roberts Market (far right).
