2016 CSWA Awards Luncheon. The California Social Welfare Archives hosted its annual awards reception on April 6, 2016 at the Galen Center (3400 South Figueroa Street), University of Southern California, Los Angeles, to honor Sandy Banks, Susan Edelstein, and the USC School of Social Work’s web-based master’s program, known as the Virtual Academic Center (VAC) for their commitment to the advancement of social welfare. ❧ (00:29) - Welcome by CSWA President Esther Gillies -- (10:16) – Sandy Banks’ presentation “‘They’ Are ‘Us’: Shining a Light That Enlightens and Unites” -- (39:42) - George D. Nickel Award presented to Sandy Banks by Professor Rafael Angulo -- (50:05) - George D.
