Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
By the age of 16, diver Greg Louganis had won his first Olympic medal. Eight years later, at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, he won gold in both the platform and springboard events, becoming the first man in 56 years to do so. He repeated the feat at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In 1994, Louganis publicly acknowledged his homosexuality, adding his name to the short list of prominent gay athletes.
Photograph caption dated August 8, 1984 reads, "U.S. superdiver Greg Louganis is a study in concentration as he goes up."
