Photograph caption dated April 5, 1966 reads, "Golf is a year-round sport and gold mine in Palm Springs. The 18-hole municipal course is only one of 18 scenic courses which dot the desert landscape." This appears to be the Tahquitz Creek - Legend Golf Course, built in 1959.
