A group of men, women and children are pictured from the knees up, standing around the pedestal of the statue of Friar Junipero Serra at Golden Gate Park. Mayor Taylor is pictured at center, a policeman to the left of him and a child in front of him. The statue of Friar Serra is pictured above them, depicting the Franciscan Catholic with his arms outstretched and robes flaring, a cross nearly as tall as he is held in his right hand.
