Description
Photo caption reads: "Sister Anastasia reads bedtime stories to youngsters as part of a program of maintaining a homelike atmosphere at the Los Angeles Orphanage building at Whittier and Boyle. Happy moments like this will no longer be possible for these children unless $750,000 is raised for a new building to replace the orphanage building, a Los Angeles landmark, which is becoming untenable and must be razed".
