He also wears a jacket, tie and vest. A caption beneath the image reads "Born Norfolk County, Canada, June 30, 1837. Arrived in California 1873. Address, Los Angeles". Photonegative sleeve reads, "Past President Chamber of Commerce 1893-1895".
