Description
This circa 1938 photograph shows a bustling intersection at 10th and K streets with the Hotel Sacramento in the background. The frontage of the hotel measured some 160 feet on 10th Street and 140 feet on K Street. In 1928, W.S. and H.H. Hart, the proprietors of one of Sacramento's most familiar eateries, Hart's Lunch, purchased the Sacramento for $1 million. Seven years later, it was sold to a committee of hotel bondholders.
