Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated December 18, 1962 partially reads, "Actor Peter Leeds hasn't spent a Christmas with his wife and son at their Sherman Oaks home in eight years. And this year marks his ninth. Strangely enough, Leeds and his family couldn't be happier. For while Maxine Leeds and Michael, 16, stay behind, Peter Leeds will be in the western Pacific and Far East on Bob Hope's Christmas tour of American military installations. The troupe leaves Los Angeles Wednesday. 'I feel I'm really doing something useful and helpful for my country, for humanity,' said Leeds."
