Description
This work is divided into six chapters which correspond to six lectures given by Simon to the Wine Trade Club at Vintners' Hall during the winter of 1911-1912. It is meant as an introduction to the subject of wine and covers a short history fo the wine trade in England, general information the viticulture and enology and effects of alcohol upon the human body. The work was published as a response to literature published by temperance organizations.
