Description
Documents the life of a German ranching family in San Jose, and life in San Jose in the 1930s. Crawford's grandparents came to San Jose from Germany via Ellis Island and started a dairy called The Golden State Dairy. Apparently their home was described in Jack London's "Call of the Wild." London is described as a frequent visitor.
