Description
A panoramic view of the campus of the Bel Air Tract and the University of California, Los Angeles. The Bel Air Country Club golf course occupies the center of the image, and is flanked on the right by some houses or apartments and a small lake. Several very large houses are widely spaced in the hills on the left, above the country club. The UCLA campus is on the far right, with the Men's and Women's Gymnasiums at the bottom of the hill, in front of Royce Hall and College Library (now Powell Library). There are numerous automobiles parked in front of the gymnasiums. Writing in white below the road in the center reads "Photo by ; C.C. Pierce & Co. ; 1572 W Pico LA ; 12-5-33."
