Photograph of close-up view of United Airlines DC-3 commercial airliner, ca.1935. At center, the large metallic beak of the airliner is clearly visible. Beneath its dome-shaped nose, the numbers "72" can be seen. Slightly below the pilot's cabin, a small emblem with the words "United Airlines" and a picture of the United States is visible. To the right of this emblem, a hatch door is seen on the metallic body of the plane. On either side of the plane's main body, two large metallic propellers are visible. Each propeller is made of three, slightly curved metallic blades. To the left of the image, a small section of the right wing is visible. At the bottom of the image, the tires of the plane are slightly visible.
