Description
Photograph of a view of a streetcar in the middle of Pacific Drive in Redondo Beach, ca.1915. The streetcar is at center and is on a set of tracks embedded in the unpaved. Several two-story wooden buildings can be seen along the sides of the road, including a building in the foreground at center with a domed tower. Four early-model automobiles are visible at right, and many pedestrians are in the middle of the road at center. Utility lines cross over the street in several places. Legible signs include, from left to right, "Bank", "Farmers and Merchants National Bank", "Block", "Grassel's Grocery Bakery Market", "Emerald", "Del Rey & Redondo", "Redondo Savings Bank", and "Office of H. E. Huntington's Redondo City Property Original Prices and terms".
