"Pella bei Mamre. Johanneskirche." ("Pella near Mamre. Church of John."). The white church has a cross on the roof above the entrance, which is situated in a smaller building of the same architecture. On the side four attachments which look like abstract stairs, always separating two windows from the rest. Several church-goers are both standing in front of the entrance and along the side. They are standing in mixed groups of women, men and children. The men are wearing suits and hats, the women dresses and hats. The children are similarly dressed according to sex. This picture was taken by Willibald Paul Schaberg (1900-?). He worked as a missionary in South Africa West, mostly in Elim. He married Elfriede Henriette Johanna Nigrin (born 1898) in Herrnhut near Dresden, Germany, in 1929. It is not known when and where he stopped working and died.
