Flying airplanes twirl around a pole by the entrance to the Jack Rabbit Racer roller coaster at The Pike amusement park south of Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach. The roller coaster is built on a pier and extends into the ocean.; Started in 1902, The Pike ran until 1979. The Jack Rabbit Racer roller coaster operated from 1915 until 1930 when it was replaced with the Cyclone Racer.
