Shades of L.A. is an archive of photographs representing the contemporary and historic diversity of families in Los Angeles. Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Tomas Regalado is a Miami councilman and Angel Torres is the author of "La Historia del Beisbol Cubano." Alpha 66 is an anti-communist organization working for the liberation of Cuba. The group was formed by Cuban exiles. Alpha signifies the beginning and the group started with 66 people.
