Description
Photograph of a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and King George VI of Great Britain, [s.d.]. Two rectangles set in a floral design at the base hold paintings of the Queen and King. The Queen appears at left, with a crown atop her head, and strings of pearls around her neck, over a light-colored dress with medals at right. She wears her hair cropped or pulled back and has pearl earrings dangling from her ears. At right, the King is seen in full uniform, with chords and embellishments and medals adorning his left breast. His hair is short and his eyes are piercing. Between them, the letters GR and ER sit, as well as "Queen Elizabeth", "Their Majesties", "King George VI" below the drawing of a crown. George VI lived from 1895 to 1952, while Queen Elizabeth II was born in 1926.
