Description
Photograph shows a display of floral arrangements. A sign on the right of the photograph reads "Chas. C. Navlet Co. (since 1885). Distinctive floral artists." At the foot of the center of the display is a ribbon. It reads "First premium, Santa Clara County State Fair, San Jose, Calif. Floriculture. 1941." Chas. C. Navlet Co. was a florist and nursery in San Jose. Now called Navlet's Flowers with numerous shops in the San Jose area. Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
