Description
Photograph of the first school and church in South Pasadena, ca.1890. A man with a cane stands between two trees, tucks his arm behind his back, and looks toward the two buildings: the three-story school on the left, and the one-story church on the right. The surrounding terrain appears to be undeveloped, although other houses and a few telephone poles can be seen in the extreme distance. An unpaved road runs along the forground.
