Description: Dedication of plaque in honor of Jedediah Strong Smith on Nov. 12, 1955 on the Sacramento State College campus. Dr. Carl G. Winter, president of the Sacramento County Historical Society and Dr. Guy A. West, President of the Sacramento State College, unveiled the plaque. This event probably related to the Jedediah Smith Memorial Bicycle Trail that runs past the campus.
