Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Formed in 1979 by brothers Dave and Phil Alvin of Downey, California, The Blasters play what they refer to as "American Music"--a hybrid of rockabilly, blues, and mountain music. The band was a fixture in the L.A. punk scene and their music has been prominently featured in television shows, movies and video games.
Photograph caption dated April 4, 1983 reads, "Impassioned vocals by Blasters' Phil Alvin gave rock tradition new life."
