Description
Shown in circa 1935 is an aerial view of the Sacramento City Water Filtration Plant. Built in 1924, it became the first water filtration complex west of the Rocky Mountains. Other landmarks are, at the far left of the photograph, the Pacific Gas and Electric substation, and at the top of the photograph, the I Street Bridge and the Yolo County village of Broderick. The Sacramento River is also visibile.
