A typical stone medicinal trough found in the hospital area of monasteries. Such troughs were used for immersing the body in medicinal oil. They look similar to the large 'rice boats' in the alms houses, but are easily recognized by the cavity in the form of a human figure with a space for the head at one end. Located to the southeast of the stūpa, it would have been an important feature of an area designated as a hospital.
