Description
Members of the Los Angeles Wheelmen pose during an around the world cycling excursion, which started in England in 1890. Here the men had just acquired new bicycles with pneumatic tires and were heading east to New York from Los Angeles. Identified are Thomas G(askell) Allen (on the left) and William L(ewis) Sachtleben, both wearing large hats and with bundles strapped to their handlebars.
