Photograph caption dated August 31, 1957 reads, "Competitors in the novice tennis tournament, with the winners going to the citywide finals today at Cheviot Hills Playground, were these West Valley finalists. Victors in picture at left are, from left, Laraine Smith, midget girls; Shirley Smith, junior girls; Richard Goodman, co-winner senior doubles with Richard Lotts; Randy Hoiby, junior boys; Steve King, senior boys; Harvey Noel, Panorama Park recreation director, tourney chairman; kneeling, Lotts, senior doubles champion, and Jim Cutler, junior boys.
