Image of the story of the good Samaritan from the book of Luke in the Bible; a man in robes and a turban with a basket of oil and wine kneels to help a bleeding man in a loincloth along the edge of a dirt road near trees; onlookers and donkey loaded with packs in road; city of Jericho in background.
Single-color print. "Copyrighted in the year 1877, by F.W. McCleave, Boston."--text, bottom center margin. "Published by F.W. McCleave."--text, bottom right margin. "Baker"--text, artist's signature on stone, bottom left of image. "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him... Take care of him : and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Luke, X. 30-35."--text, bottom margin.
