Description
Kashnor notes, "This shows the boundary of the United States to the Mississippi, stretching northwest to the Lake of the Woods, with the boundary of Louisiana. Citizen Delamarche evidently came into possession of the old plate, for the discoveries of Cook are not shown on the west coast, and the old Indian village of Aiouez (Iowa) is still on a tributary of the Missouri."
