Description
The image is a postcard which shows the dormitory from across its front field. A caption on the card reads on two lines, "Smiley Hall, Pomona College,/Claremont, California." Beneath the caption, the date 1911 is written in handwriting. A message on the back of the postcard reads: "am spending a few days here with Miss Smith - Claremont is not the Claremont of our day now. It's a bustling busy little place with lots of new people and new buildings." The postcard was addressed to Mrs. Herbert B. Krug of Saratoga, CA and sent by someone with the initials L.E.W.
